Activate MFA for increased security on your account

by Frida Ekelund

Many people today use the same or similar passwords for multiple services. This means that a leaked password can have greater consequences than you might think. That's why we now offer the option to activate MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) on your account, which you can easily set up via Settings > User Account Settings.

What is MFA?

MFA stands for Multi-Factor Authentication and means that login takes place in two steps. In addition to the password, the user needs to confirm their identity with an additional factor, for example via an authentication app. This means that even if a password falls into the wrong hands, the account is still protected.

Why should I enable MFA?

✔ Protects your account from unauthorized access

✔ Reduces the risk of password leaks

✔ Provides an extra layer of security without complicating the login process

Enable MFA

To enable two-factor authentication, you can choose to:

  • Download an authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator

  • Use one-time passwords sent to your email address

If you want, you can also add a Passkey. Passkeys are stored securely on your device or in your platform’s built-in password manager.

To get started, go to Settings - User Account Settings and follow the instructions to enable authentication.
