Track exactly what your dispatches sell in Promote

by Frida Ekelund

With the right linking in Promote, you can see exactly what your dispatches generate in revenue – down to event and recipient level. Here’s how it works and what to keep in mind to get the full picture.

When working with dispatches, it’s easy to focus on opens and clicks. But what really matters is what actually leads to purchases.

In Promote, you can follow the entire journey – from dispatch to completed transaction.

How it works

To connect purchases to a dispatch, you need to use the correct type of link. When you choose Webshop link or Campaign link, we can track what happens after the click.

This allows you to:

  • See the exact revenue from your dispatch
  • Track which events are selling
  • See which recipients complete a purchase
  • Analyze what actually drives sales

All of this data is collected directly in the dispatch statistics.

What happens if you link manually?

You can use “Open Website” and paste a link manually. This can work in some cases – but it’s important to understand the limitation.

When linking manually, we currently cannot connect purchases to the dispatch.

This means:

  • Revenue is not shown in Promote
  • Purchases cannot be tied to specific dispatches
  • You lose insight into what actually drives sales

You will still see opens and clicks – but not the actual sales results.

Why correct linking matters

The difference between linking correctly and incorrectly is significant. With the right linking, you get a clear view of what your dispatches actually generate.

This makes it easier to:

  • Optimize content and messaging
  • Understand which audience converts
  • Make decisions based on actual revenue

Instead of guessing, you can work fully data-driven.

All statistics in one place

For each dispatch in Promote, you get a complete overview of performance. You can, for example, see:

  • Delivery and opens
  • Clicks and link engagement
  • Total revenue and revenue per event
  • Purchases over time
  • Which recipients have purchased

This gives you a clear picture of how your dispatch performs – all the way from send to purchase.

Beta – subject to change

This feature is currently under development (beta), which means it may evolve over time. But already now, you can gain valuable insights into your sales – as long as you use the correct linking.
