Swedish Professional Football Leagues chooses Tickster as ticketing supplier

by Jonas Lyckander

In 2020, Tickster began its growth journey in the sports sector, and today the company serves customers across all sports in the Nordic market – from partnerships with most of Sweden's elite hockey clubs in the SHL, Hockeyallsvenskan, and Hockeyettan, to the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun 2027, the World Cup in both biathlon and alpine skiing, the Nordea Open, Stockholm Open, league agreements with the Swedish Basketball League, Bandy Finals and several bandy clubs, handball, trotting, e-sports, floorball, Swedish Athletics Championships and a whole range of collaborations in motorsport.

The company is now taking the next step by becoming the official ticketing provider for the football clubs in Allsvenskan and Superettan.

Swedish Professional Football Leagues (SEF) – the interest organisation for clubs in the Allsvenskan and Superettan leagues – has been tasked with driving the development of national men’s elite football. Following an extensive procurement process, SEF and its member clubs in both leagues have now chosen Tickster as their official ticketing supplier and strategic partner for the continued development of elite football, both commercially and in terms of the fan experience.

- Now the circle is complete. For several years, we have worked closely with organizers, focusing on innovation, stability, and first-class support. Tickster currently collaborates with leading players in all customer segments, and to now be entrusted with delivering our products and services to football, the world’s largest spectator sport with a reach that few other social phenomena can match, is incredibly exciting and a task we take very seriously. Our position in the event and sports world is the result of the hard work of all our employees, who work with dedication every day to build really good products and provide our customers with world-class support, says Niclas Lindeberg, CEO of Tickster.

- It has been a long and thorough procurement process in which several factors have been taken into account, such as functionality, stability, development capability, and references. Overall, Tickster was deemed to best meet the requirements set by the clubs within Swedish Professional Football Leagues says Niclas Janson, Development Manager at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.\

The partnership, which begins ahead of the 2027 season, will span several years with the clear goal of creating a flexible, data-driven, and future-proof sales platform that strengthens the commercial opportunities of SEF and the clubs and provides Swedish football fans with a world-class purchasing and event experience.
