Create, update and delete contacts directly in Promote

We have finally launched a number of improvements to Promote that make it easier to manage contacts without having to use import tools or contact support.

Create a new contact
You can now create new contacts directly in Promote. Fill in the contact’s details and save – the contact will be immediately available in the system. If a contact with the same email address is found, you will be given the option to update the existing contact instead of creating a new one.

Edit a contact
Change personal details, telephone number/address and specify whether the contact wishes to receive marketing communications and whether the contact belongs to a company. When a contact has information from multiple data sources, you can now choose which source should be the primary one.

Delete a contact
Permanent deletion is primarily intended for situations where a contact needs to be deleted entirely, for example in the case of GDPR-related requests. Permanent deletion is a powerful action. If the contact is later recreated through a new purchase or an import, it is treated as a completely new contact and previous history and subscription settings are not carried over.
